what's my life purpose?

Your life purpose is visible in your fingerprints.
So is the master key that controls your life -
your life lesson or archilles' heel.

This is the recurring issue or theme that keeps
tripping you up.

I will be posting regularly about how
to identify this master key and use it
to help you live a happy successful and fulfilled life
on my home page.

PLease go there now to find out more about how your life purpose
has two side, a shadow side and a light side.

If you are ignoring the main themes in your life you could
find yourself in the shadow side of your purpose.
In other words living the exact opposite of who you really are.

It's easy to rectify this problem. All you need to know is what
what to focus on and to be gentle with yourself while watching
yourself wrestle with the same stuff over and over.

This is why you are here! Just watching yourself and being compassionate
is enough to shift your energy in the right direction.

For more info on how to do this, subscribe to the rss on my homepage,
http://www.handanalysisonline.com

My new membersite is not up yet.
In the meantime I'd really appreciate your feedback
on the new look of my site.

Also,
What topics about hands would you like to know more about?
What are the burning issues in your life right now?

I'd like to show you how your hands can shed light on
virtually any question under the sun.

Give me a challenge! Something that you'd really like
solved.

I'll be linking my homepage to technorati, facebook and other network sites as soon as I've figured out how.

Are you putting the cart before the horse?

God has been washing cows virtually non-stop in Switzerland for several days now. They're all squeaky clean again and they've been given their bells back.

Which is probably why you haven't heard that much from me recently - my brain is busy being re-tuned for summer.

Offline I've been exploring topics related to deep democracy and how to get all your sub personalities pulling in the same direction.

Actually what has really been going on is that each of my sub personalities has been trying to write this article all on its own, from his or her very own point of view, so I've got several different drafts going on with apparently no common thread.

I guess the main issue is cows and carts and how we humans often have these things back to front without realizing it. And how this explains why sometimes the cart doesn't depart even under severe pressure.

I think the person who understood cows and the universe more than anyone else on this planet was Gary Larson. My favorite GL cartoon of all time is the one of a cow couple in their living room.

Do you know it?

The 'husband' cow is sitting in front of the TV nursing a beer. The 'wife' has a string of pearls around her neck and is standing, gazing longingly out the window. They obviously have a very cozy home with all the usual trimmings. But she has just said to him: 'Harold, I am not content!'
Naturally the poor fellow has a look of perplexed horror on his face.

I think this cartoon pretty much sums up life on this planet for we humans. We think we'll be happy once we have x or y or z. And then when we actually get it, oops, maybe this wasn't what we really wanted after all because we still feel the same.

Luckily we have a few wise souls around who've apparently achieved total detachment. What this actually means is that they finally had enough of all the pushing and shoving to stand back at last and take in the whole scenario from a distance.

From where they're standing it's pretty obvious we've got things back to front in more ways than one. This is what they've been trying to tell us all these years but most of us just won't have it.

So how have we got the cart before the cow?

Here are 5 ways I know of. Each can stop your cart dead in its track unless you turn the whole thing the other way round.

The first is to do with making happiness conditional. We think we first have to do something/succeed (get a divorce, whatever) then we can be happy. Actually it's the other way round. Happiness precedes success. You can be happy right now instead of first waiting for the cows to come home. And more likely it will cause them to want to come home because they'll sense your good vibes.

It's hard to admit that we have total choice over our emotions. All we actually have to do to change how we are feeling is make another choice.

I remember the first time this dawned on me. It was about a zillion years ago when I was a young student sitting in the library cramming for an exam in abnormal psychology. The more cases I read the more depressed I got. I was pretty sure I had every single one of those terrible mental conditions described in the textbook, including a simple personality! Eventually I could take it no more and I went off to drown my sorrows in the student canteen. At the entrance there was a photo display of a squatter camp in Cape Town called Crossroads. I was absolutely shocked by the photos. Not because of the squalor or poverty but because everyone looked so happy! These beautiful black and white photos of joyous smiling faces on people who owned absolutely nothing cured me in a flash of about 100 different conditions of schizophrenia, psychosis, various manias etc. I was deeply humbled and grateful at the same time. There was nothing wrong with me or my life whatsoever and I chose to be happy instead of sad from that moment on, just like the beautiful people in the photos. Byron Katie's book: Loving What Is, is a good resource for this technique.

Something similar is putting your whole life on hold until X or Y happens. The next time you blink you're in a rocking chair wishing you'd lived your life instead of just intending to.

Thirdly, is the idea 'seeing is believing'. Apparently we have this completely back to front and even scientists, whose credibility hangs on this premise, are beginning to come round to the possibility that actually the opposite is true: believing is seeing.

Fourthly, is the idea that making mistakes should be avoided. We think we need to be perfect before we get the show on the road. In fact it's the other way round, practice makes perfect. You can't improve without feedback and you can't get feedback without practice.

Number 5 is the one that really blows my mind. This is called Ho'oponopono. Basically what it means is that whatever your husband says or does (or even thinks!) really is totally and absolutely all your fault!! Well, I'm kidding, and I'm not. Ho'oponopono is the Hawaiian code of forgiveness.

Have you ever heard of a guy from Hawaii called Dr Len? Apparently he cured a whole ward full of dangerous criminals just by working on himself, deciding what part of himself each of these criminals was reflecting and saying 'I love you I am sorry.' You can read more about this here.

Everything that shows up in your life is a fragment of you. The more you change in the inside the more this is reflected in the world and people around you.

I think the best way to understand this whole situation is to think of a hall full of mirrors. If you don't show up yourself, the hall will be empty.

As soon as you reach out, then so does the whole hall/ world that surrounds you.

Cart before cow? We usually think it works the other way around. If someone else loves and supports me then I will to.

How can hands help with making your cart go forwards?

Your hands are the interface between you and the world. Think of them as your rear view mirrors. If you can see a cow in them you're facing the wrong way (only kidding!) Your hands are mirrors and they can show you when you're busy putting your lipstick on your eyebrow instead of slightly lower down.

Now why didn't you tell me sooner it was a horse's behind I should be looking at and not a cow's? Don't tell me this is all my fault! I already know it!
; )

Hand analysis tip:

What do wrong way round carts look like on hands?

They look just like little carts but from an aerial perspective.
If you have a box on your heart line under the middle finger
this means you feel like you're in a logistic logjam,
boxed in by the details of your every life.
If you have cross hatching inside this box then the situation is much more extreme. Time to have your hands read!

Day 7 - the 7 laws of the universe

Success isn’t a goal it’s a process. We start this process each time we step in the right direction. We do this whenever we become conscious of the laws governing our lives and learn how to make them work for us.

Therefore, on the seventh day of dreaming I bring you -

The seven laws of the universe + plus 7 ways to activate these laws in your life.

The 7 laws:

the law of transmutation of energy. Change is all there is. You can direct this change with your thoughts.
the law of vibration (also known as the law of attraction). Like attracts like.
the law of relativity. Everything only has a value in comparison to something else.
the law of polarity. Everything has an opposite and cannot exist otherwise. (All opposites are just different degrees of the same thing.)
the law of rhythm. Life has a pattern, everything flows in cycles.
the law of cause and effect (also called the law of harvest: as you sow so shall you reap)
the law of gender. Every seed has a gestation period. Whatever you want already exists you just have to know and trust that it is coming

Here the laws are again in more detail:

the law of transmutation of energy . Everything is energy and all energy is in a constant state of change. Change is all there is. It’s just more rapid now than ever before. Learn how to adapt to change and how to use the laws in your favour. Energy moves into physical form. The images you hold most often in your mind materialise in your life.
the law of vibration (also known as the law of attraction). Everything is vibrating (is in a constant state of motion and has a frequency.) The only difference is the frequency or level of vibration. Thoughts are creative impulses of energy. All matter is transparent to the vibration of thought. Every thought you send out has an impact on everything in the universe. Thoughts do not go away and they attract situations of a similar vibration to you. To attact what you want you have to be in harmony with it (align your body mind and spirit).
the law of relativity. Relationships are everything. Nothing is good or bad unless you compare it to something else. Everything in life just is until we compare it. This is the key to stopping self destructive behaviour. To increase your level of vibration be grateful for what you have, and only compare what you have to something lesser. How you compare your situation will either pull you up or hold you down because you change the impulses of energy you transmit.

the law of polarity. Everything has an opposite and cannot exist otherwise. All opposites are different degrees of the same thing. For hot to exist, cold must also exist. Failure is accompanied by the seeds of success. The more you are willing to experience failure, the more you will succeed. You go in the direction you look. What you focus on expands. Constantly look at the good in people and situations. Recognise the opposite then pick what you want to focus on.
the law of rhythm. Life has a pattern, everything flows in cycles. Night follows day. Learn which cycles are active in your life and allow for them.
the law of cause and effect (also called the law of harvest: as you sow so shall you reap). Whatever you send out into the universe comes back to you. goes round comes round. Don’t worry about what you can get. Focus on what you can give.
the law of gender. Every seed has a gestation period. Whatever you want already exists you just have to know and trust that it is coming. For anything to manifest it must have an incubation period. Most people give up too soon. Often we give up just before something is about to break through and we end up losing what we really want. The is nothing new in the universe. Everything you want is already here. You have to know it and trust that it’s coming. What you are seeking is also seeking you.

7 ways to activate this laws in your life:
The power of understanding
the power of mind sets
The power of vision
The power of partnerships
The power of giving
The power of accountability
The power of gratitude

These notes come mainly from James Ray’s program: The Science of Success.

If you’d like to get a clearer idea of how many of these laws apply to your life, have your hands analysed or join my mastermind group where you'll learn to combine the information in your hands with 7 ways to activate these laws.

Happy dreaming!

12 days of dreaming - day 4

On the 4th day of dreaming
I bring you the 4 essential questions to ask yourself each time you need to make a decision.

Whenever you are presented with any kind of a decision, it could be a decision to embrace an idea or to start a business, or it could be a decision about any situation or opportunity that comes into your life, simply ask yourself these 4 questions:

Is this thing something that I want to be, do or have?
Is being doing or having this going to take me in the direction I wish to go?
Is being, doing or having this in harmony with the laws of the universe (will it add life to me and to others?)
Is being, doing or having this going to violate the rights of others? (ie. Does it take away their ability to make a choice?)

If the answer is ‘yes’ to the first three questions and ‘no’ to the forth then let nothing else hold you back. Commit fully to the decision and act on it immediately.

This technique comes from David Neagle.
David says that most people get stuck here because they ask:
How is it going to happen.? It is not your job to know how! A leap of faith is required. Once you decide you are going to do something all of the ways of how you are going to do this, all the opportunities to make it happen begin to show up, but only if you commit fully. The trick also is to see these opportunities for what they are and embrace them as they arise.

We are raised to listen to the voice of caution, to concerns, fears, irrational beliefs and this flips us back in the direction we don’t wish to go in.
Do you have the awareness to see the gift in whatever it is you are attracting? If you do, you can transform your life really quickly. (Everything you attract is an opportunity, where is the hidden gift?)

Listen to my interview with David and take advantage of his 2 incredible gifts downloadable here.

Here's a big tip: generally whatever you are resisting most is your next step.

How come?

Whenever you ask a question, the answer is already in front of you.
If you are not seeing what this is, you are resisting changing something.
Generally the next step is whatever you are resisting most!

To summarise the process:
If you ask for something you are given an opportunity to grow towards what you seek.

The trick is:
Recognise the opportunity (you either do or don’t)
Make a committed decision (if you procrastinate it takes longer)
Learn to adapt and grow so that you can see the next opportunity….

If you don’t see the opportunity or act on it, there will always be another.
The only difference is it will take longer to get to where you want to be.

What is controlling your decision making with regard to where you are taking your own life?

As Napoleon Hill said, ‘Somewhere in your makeup there lies sleeping the seed of achievement which if aroused and put into action will carry you to heights you may never had hoped to attain.’

How to become aware of your inner spark? The highest expression of who you are?
How can you positively impact on other people’s lives? What is it that you can offer to the world? Your life purpose is visible in your fingerprints. To find out more, go here

Happy dreaming!

12 days of Christmas - day 2

On the second day of Christmas
my hand analyst gave to me…

Two total loves:

Two video versions of the most important thing said in the last 1000 years:

PS: Your greatness is visible in your fingerprints

Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

—Marianne Williamson

Is God on holiday?

I read this amazing quote the other day:

Holding a grudge against someone is like taking poisonand then waiting for the other person to die!

This is so true it isn't even funny!

We poison ourselves all the time and then wait for others to die, or to rescue us or to do something, anything……wring their hands, shake their heads, write a poem, applaud?

So what has manipulative behaviour got to do with God being on holiday? Stay with me a minute, I'll explain.

I remember as a child seeing a movie about an extremely manipulative woman. Her final 'piéce de resistance' was to kill herself so that the others felt eternally guilty. I remember being blown away by the idea that someone would actually go through with this.

Bit of a gamble don't you think? What if they didn't feel guilty but instead cracked open some champagne and celebrated? You can't exactly come back and say, hey mate, I think you missed the whole point here! Or bonk them over the head (well, as far as I know you can't but then we'll never know will we?)

Thinking about manipulation reminds me of those Skinner box experiments they do with pigeons and mice and other animals. I remember once watching a video of pigeons playing ping pong just because they knew they'd get a food pellet at the end. There's that classic one where Skinner (or whoever) wanted to go away on holiday and dreamt up a scheme to leave all his highly trained animals unattended. He put the pellet feeding devices onto a timer. Every half an hour or so a pellet would pop out into the food tray irrespective of what the animal happened to be doing at the time.

When Skinner (or whoever) arrived back from holiday he/she came back to a wonderous sight. All the animals were doing really bizarre things and each one something completely different. One animal was turning in circles, thinking that this is what caused the pellets to arrive. Another was hopping on one foot, another was lying on its back kicking thin air, another plucking out its own feathers or whatever…you get the picture. Basically the animals thought that whatever activity they were doing when a pellet arrived was what caused the pellets to drop so they kept doing it until another pellet dropped... ad infinitum. Which just goes to prove they had the system cracked, didn't they?

So, maybe it's the same with us. Maybe every now and then God actually goes off on holiday and puts the pellet dropping device on a timer. We think the pellet's dropping because….well…you tell me?!

Superstitious? Who me? Manipulative? Who me?

I think being manipulative is what defines humanity. Let's blame it all on our opposable thumbs. We are built to be manipulative. To break and re-make things around us.

We've even taken this idea to its logical extreme. Our thumbs are an illusion. What we actually do with them is just a shadow play of our thoughts.

I think the real question is, do we act or re-act?
What are the real reasons behind the choices we make?
To what extent are we proactive rather than just reactive?
That's the basic choice we face every moment.
What's motivating us?
Need to control or need to be?
Fear or fun/love/trust?

If the pellets are coming out anyway we may as well be doing something that gives us pleasure and a deep sense of fulfillment.

It sure beats pulling out our own feathers.
Or someone else's.

Do you know what you want?

This week we are going to look at desire pollution. What is it?
Have you got it? And, if you do, what to do about it.

Desire pollution is a marker in the hand that’s always
fascinated me.

Why?

Partially because it sounds positively toxic, and partially
because it IS just that. Positively Toxic. Particularly if you
don’t even know you’ve got it!

Usually, if I see this marker in a person’s hand, there is no
point in talking about anything else. This is a life threatening
condition.

So what is desire pollution?

Desire pollution is caused when we loose touch with our own
deepest wants and needs. We confuse our own personal desires
with those of others. Sometimes this is caused during early
childhood when we have a too demanding parent, an overly
dominant or extremely needy mother, for example. In this
situation, we might learn to put our own needs to one side
simply as a matter of survival. Then we adopt the needs of
others as our own wants because that’s what brings harmony and
safety into our lives.

This is an extreme example. Another cause could be that we’re
simply picking up too much information from other people. We’re
ultra-receptive to the wants and needs of others. This is like
hearing several inner voices at the same time and you’re not
sure which is really yours.

In its most extreme form, desire pollution is called the ‘iron
vest’.

Terrifying name. Terrifying condition!

The effect creeps up on you gradually and the next thing you
know, the lights are on but no-one’s at home. You’re a stranger
in your own life, disconnected to your own deepest passions.
You’ll know you’re in the iron vest phase if you ever get there
because this is when your entire energetic system starts
shutting down to protect itself from further pollution, causing
you to loose all desire, including sxual desire. This is
different from ‘not being in the mood’. It’s like just not being
home at all.

So how do we avoid spiralling into this phase?

The remedy for desire pollution is time out. Time spent alone,
getting in touch with your own personal wants system and
rebuilding it from the ground up.

We humans are goal-orientated creatures. If we don’t have a goal
we’re like a heating seeking missile with no target. The result
is self-implosion. And if we give ourselves goals that are not
connected to our own deepest desires it’s like the wires of the
device are not properly connected to the real source of power.

So how do we connect our wires to our genuine power source? By
getting in touch with your own deepest wishes. What really
enflames you? What do you feel passionate about? What do you
really desire?

Is it possible that you don’t even know?

Whether you have this marker or not, here’s a brilliant exercise
to put the lights back on in your home.

Buy a box or two of index (3x5) cards and write just one of your
wants or dreams into the centre of each card. Write on the cards
vertically, rather than horizontally. Try to fill as many cards
as possible. Write huge things and little things. Material
wants, physical, emotional, and spiritual wants. What wishes do
you have regarding your family, your health, your finances, your
home, your government, your environment, your neighbourhood,
what do you want for this planet, your career, your friends,
work relationships, future travelling, food, exercise, your
spiritual development, outrageous fun, your artistic expression,
your parents, your brothers and sisters, ambitions, goals,
dreams…. Forget the how or the why for now. Just focus on
writing as many cards as you can dream up. Keep blank cards with
you and write on them whenever you think of a new quality or
thing you’d like to have in your life. Group these cards into
categories and keep looking at them daily. I’ve been doing this
exercise for the last year. It’s a fun thing to do and it’s
transformed my life. *

Even if you haven’t got desire pollution, I highly recommend you
get yourself a pack of cards today and start dreaming up a
bigger, clearer, more delicious future for yourself. It’s
possibly the most loving gift you can give yourself in this
lifetime.

Back to desire pollution. What does this marker look like?

Desire pollution is a star like formation that shows up on the
end of the headline. If you’d like to see what it looks like,

Is your partner your ideal mate?

Today we're going to look at our heart lines and how they can help us live happier lives.

Your heart line reveals your emotional type.

Why is it important to know your type?

Because each type has different emotional needs and a different
relationship style.

The key to being a happy healthy you, is to live your type.

The key to building successful relationships (of any nature) is knowing your emotional style and needs. The more you are in touch with your own emotional needs the easier it is to make sure you get loved the way you need to be loved.

One of the most common mistakes we make is expecting others to love us the same way we love them. In reality, we all need to be loved in different ways. It helps to know what works for you and what doesn’t and then communicate this.

Another reason to know your type has to do with natural attraction.

What keeps the energy flowing between two people?

Does

Like attract like?

or do

Opposites attract?

Actually, both!

Like-minded thinking is what keeps the train from derailing.
But opposite temperament is what propels the train forward.

To keep a relationship on track it helps to have:
Shared values,
Shared beliefs about what planet we’re on and how it works
Shared dreams or goals
Shared ideas about child rearing
Mutual respect…..

Without this common ground it’s virtually impossible to make a relationship work, irrespective of how big the spark was in the beginning.

But when it comes to temperament, there’s a different force that binds us. Here opposites really do attract. There is a strong yin-yang push-pull force propelling, attracting, bonding us and keeping the energy dynamic and flowing.

Ever see couples sitting in a restaurant with virtually nothing to say to each other? It’s as if there is no dynamic, the energy just doesn’t flow.
This could be because they’re just too similar, or totally incompatible.

The danger here is that one person may try to adjust him or herself to fit the other person’s needs. As I mentioned before, to be a happy healthy you, you need to live your type.

Are you living your type?

What heart line type are you? There are 4 basic types.

Earth heart line types need freedom and hate clinginess
They show their affections through actions rather than words.
Their relationship style is reserved, ‘Not now, I’m busy.’

Water types need connection. They are sensitive and caring
They are sometimes too giving and flexible and seek to be contained.
Their relationship style is nurturing.

Water and Earth types compliment each other perfectly.

Fire types are vivacious and like to be the centre of attention. They need passion and hate boredom. They are challenged to focus and may over display inappropriately.
Relationship style: let me tell you what I want.

Air types are romantic idealists. They are thoughtful, considerate, and rational and hate conflict. Their relationship style is analysis paralysis; to think about feelings rather than express them in the moment.

Fire and air types compliment each other perfectly.

To figure out your heart line type, go here

Once you’ve figured out what type you are, here’s a simple exercise to help you get more in touch with whether your needs are being met.

Write down 8 needs you have right now. Then draw a cup alongside each need and indicate how full this cup is at the moment.

Get your partner to do the same and share your cup drawings with each other.

Now write 8 things you really like about your partner and share these too.
Appreciation is often the thing we need most. It costs nothing to give, but it enriches both sides once given.

Wishing you a week full of love and appreciation,
Thanks for staying with me right to the end!

Do you trust your partner, your intuition, the universe?

This week we’re looking at issues of trust and where this shows up in hands.
We’ll be looking at 4 different aspects. Trusting others, trusting yourself, trusting your intuition and trusting process/the universe/God.

Issues of trust show up in your pinkies (little fingers).

The energy that runs through this finger and the area underneath it is all to do with communication. That’s why in hand analysis, the little finger is called Mercury. After the messenger god, Mercury, the god of communication.

Are your pinkies straight or curved?

A straight Mercury finger means straight communication. You say it the way you see it.
If your little fingers are curved, this means there is a breakdown in your ability to communicate effectively due to lack of trust.

Straight Mercury types also have communication problems, but this is more to do with calling a spade a shovel. Honesty without tact or regard for other’s feelings can be deadly. (I’m one of these types so I should know. It’s taken me a lifetime to figure out why people keep bopping me on the nose for speaking my mind.)

Back to curved fingers and trust.

Some Mercury fingers curve in, others out. Some curve only at the top. Each means something different.

If the whole Mercury finger is curved towards the rest of the hand, like a banana, this generally means that the person has difficulty in trusting men in general, and their partner in particular (if they are a woman), or women in general (if they are a man). This can result in mistrust and general suspicion in intimate relationships, making it more difficult to be open and vulnerable, which is a requirement for genuine closeness.

If only the tip of the finger curves inward (towards hand) this indicates a need to control the outer circumstances. Severe loss in childhood could cause this marker. The result is, one tries to control the situation, other people, the environment, oneself in order to feel safe…. But what it boils down to is a lack of trust in process.

People with this marker try to protect themselves by playing their cards close to their chest. They wait to see what the other person does before revealing him or herself. This might come across to others as manipulative even though that is not their intention.
Or they may try to second guess, instead of just being spontaneous.

If this is you, it helps to know where these fears are coming from and gradually allow yourself to ‘let go, and let god’. Trust that everything is unfolding as it should. Also, in this world of rapid change, work on self-trust is essential. The only truly reliable source of stability is a strong inner core.

A pinkie that curves away from the rest of the hand indicates a storyteller. Someone inclined to exaggerate, or leave out facts for effect. Storytelling is a gift that needs to be used appropriately.

If this is you, ask yourself, is exaggeration appropriate in this moment? How truthful am I being actually? Exaggeration can be toxic in a relationship because of the tendency to exaggerate the other person’s wrongness. This is a major turn-off. Or we might over exaggerate our needs which can also cause unhappiness.

One of the biggest dangers most of us face is not trusting in our intuition. This is particularly so if you have a crooked mercury.

Your guardian angel says, ‘Turn right!’
And you say, ‘What was that? Did I hear turn right, or was it just my imagination?’
Then, by the time you do react, it’s too late. You’ve been banged on the head or you missed something crucial.

Mercury fingers can and do straighten over time. It’s a question of awareness and making different choices based on this awareness.

Essentially all trust begins inside. All lack of trust is really a lack of trust in oneself. You can only trust others as much as you trust yourself. If we are really in tune with our intuition, other people can’t cheat on us or betray us. We betray ourselves by ignoring our instincts.

How does one build self-trust?

Self-trust is made up of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-reliance. It comes from deep form of self-regard built on awareness of one's positive and negative attributes.

This is where hand analysis comes in. Having your hands analysed reveals to you more than just your strengths and weaknesses. It gives you a platform for deep inner knowing and self-trust because it shows you how great you really are, and what’s holding you back from manifesting your greatness.

As author Mary Jane Ryan says, ‘When we trust ourselves… we're safe in our own care.’ We nurture ourselves, treat ourselves kindly, and we learn from our mistakes instead of beating ourselves up about them.

Having your hands analysed is possibly one of the most nurturing things you can do for yourself. It can be a life changing experience. Without a doubt, it’s self expansive.

8 attitudes That Prevent You From Getting What You Want

I was listening to an interview with Homer McDonald recently and was struck by the massive contradiction in what he was saying with my belief in the importance of absolute honesty and transparency/always speaking your truth.

McDonald says one should always find a way to agree with the other person is saying. Then, when you’re on the same side of the fence, the other person will be more open to hearing what you have to say.

“Yes, you’re right, I am never at home when you need me. It must be very painful for you ….’

If one starts from a place of opposition, the other person resists what you are saying and you’ll never find a solution.

This has more to do with kindness and compassion and protecting the other person’s pride, allowing them to feel you understand and empathise with them, than it does with dishonesty.

I think one needs to always come from a place of mutual respect.

So, show respect and compassion for the other person but also practice self reverence. This includes speaking up for yourself (regarding your needs.) and developing healthy boundaries.

As sa Baba once said, ‘You don’t always have to agree, but you can always be agreeable. ‘

Out of interest, here are McDonald’s 8 attitudes that cause all the trouble in partnerships.
Exaggeration2. Guilt 3. Self-pity (unhappiness) 4. Low self-esteem5. Self-righteousness 6. Submission to feelings 7. Blaming and escaping responsibility8. Believing that differences cause problems

For more on each of these attitudes see
http://www.stopyourdivorce.com/troubled-relationship.htm

Interestingly, at lot of these issues show up in your hands. Issues of trust and communication show up in one’s Mercury (little) finger.

More on this in the next blog: Do you trust your partner, your intuition, the universe?

The key to all change is awareness. Hand Analysis provides a profound and deep level of awareness about who you are and what your unique challenges are. It shows your greatness, the gifts you have to offer and your burning desire (the reason you are on this planet). It also shows what holds you back. It is an affirming and, for many, life changing experience.

How hand analysis helped me

When I reached the pinnacle of my sports career, I was filled with a deep feeling of emptiness. I knew deep down that cycling wasn’t the real reason why I was here, even if I was inspiring others to get on their bikes.

The same feeling came to me when I reached the top of my field as a copywriter. I was at an award ceremony, and had just won 'Writer of the year' award.

Our party went ballistic. A dream had come true. Everyone at our table was whooping for joy, jumping up and down celebrating, hugging me, kissing me as I returned from the podium. But for me personally, the euphoria was fleeting. As soon as I sat down again, I went into deep spiritual crisis. Was I really on this planet to sell more beer or lipstick or whatever?

A client came over to shake my hand and I said to her, ‘Please tell me, how’s this going to help the hole in the ozone layer?’ She left swiftly with a strange look on her face and I proceeded to get roaring drunk.

I don’t know how I drove my car home that night. Angels must have taken the steering wheel from me and given it back just as I got home. Somehow I survived a 3 lane highway but crashed my car into my house a few seconds after turning up the driveway.

It wasn’t long after that, for one reason or another, all my best work got blocked. I suffered complete burnout and took a half-year sabbatical to go sailing.

Afterwards I tried going back to my old job but something had changed in my head while drifting around in the Pacific at the mercy of wind and waves. I couldn’t take deadlines seriously anymore. At the end of hurricane season I went back to sea, searching for meaning in other cultures.

Two years later I hurtled head first down another track - motherhood. It was a good place to hide, caring for others. But all too soon the nagging feeling tugged at me again…why am I here? How am I meant to contribute to this planet?

Then one day I had my hands and fingerprints analysed by Richard Unger, founder of the International Institute of Hand Analysis. I was completely blown away by what lay visible in my hands. In one hour he told me more about myself, my soul contract, my stumbling blocks along the way, than I’d spent a lifetime unravelling.

I realised deep down that not only was this information true for me, this was a key discovery for humanity. We are spirits having a human experience. We heal the planet by healing ourselves.

All the information you need to turn your life into a work of art is encoded in your fingerprints. They are your road map for this lifetime. It’s so simple, so accurate, so elegant. Why hadn’t anyone noticed this before?

These days I help other people save years of going round and round in circles the way I did.

What is my life purpose?
Why am I on this planet?
Why do I keep having similar experiences over
and over?

Check your hands. You already have all the information you’re looking for, right at your fingertips.
