Obama's Hands - Are we all in good hands?

We're living in exciting times!

America’s in new hands and the rest of the world it.

But who is this man we’re embracing? What do we know about the hands that hold all our hopes and dreams?

Hands don’t lie. Hands speak volumes about their owners. Our strengths, weaknesses, challenges and even deepest motivators are visible in our palms.

Obama has a big task ahead of him. Can he get the job done? Is he a good team player? Will he take the resto fthe world into consideration? Will he be able to navigate America through choppy seas?

So what do Obama’s hands say?

The set of Obama’s thumb indicates that he is a good team player. This is good news for the rest of the world. He is likely to work with other countries and other factions for the good of all. The deep long line running under his middle finger is the hallmark of a highly responsible person. This line indicates a capacity and willingness to work. He gets the job done! His ‘trains all run on time’. This is good news in a president’s hands. He’ll lead by doing.

Other good news is his headline type. He has a very special headline type called a HAL. This long headline that runs almost to the edge of the palm but not over it is a giftmarker indicating that he is built to solve world scale problems. So, he certainly has the perfect brain for the job.

But what about his heart?

The long upward sweep of his heart line towards the middle finger indicates a passionate, expressive communication style. Obama has fire in his heart! He knows what he wants and isn’t shy to express his needs. Fortunately he also has rounded tips to his fingers indicating a cheerful, friendly disposition and a desire to please others.

Obama’s heart line type also indicates that h’s charismatic and charming. This is mirrored in his healthy Venus zone (the fleshy bulge under the thumb)

He also has a very healthy gap between his headline and lifeline. This means he is an independent thinker. His thinking is not bound to that of his family of origin.

The bad news?

Obama has a relatively low set index finger. This means he feels he doesn’t always get the respect he deserves. Quite understandable given his background.

But can he overcome this?

I think so. Obama has a relatively long hand with long fingers. This indicates an interesting blend of thoughtfulness and sensitivity. He can think objectively about feelings without reacting blindly. Good qualities for hands that hold so much power.

What drives Obama? Obama has a very high set ring finger. This means that he thrives on applause and being in the spotlight. It’s a fundamental need. The worst thing you could do to this man is ignore him.

Hardly likely considering that he is now most powerful man on this planet!

The other thing that drives Obama is his fundamental need to solve world scale problems.

Overall, this is a good hand for a peace maker and a leader. Both strong and sensitive, he can see the broader picture, hold a vision, lead powerfully and at the same time connect with others, considering their needs and opinions. It's an intoxicating mixture (charisma, passion, fairness, staying power and intelligence).

Perfect for the man who will lead the world into a new era of peace and mutual prosperity.

Is your partner your ideal mate?

Today we're going to look at our heart lines and how they can help us live happier lives.

Your heart line reveals your emotional type.

Why is it important to know your type?

Because each type has different emotional needs and a different
relationship style.

The key to being a happy healthy you, is to live your type.

The key to building successful relationships (of any nature) is knowing your emotional style and needs. The more you are in touch with your own emotional needs the easier it is to make sure you get loved the way you need to be loved.

One of the most common mistakes we make is expecting others to love us the same way we love them. In reality, we all need to be loved in different ways. It helps to know what works for you and what doesn’t and then communicate this.

Another reason to know your type has to do with natural attraction.

What keeps the energy flowing between two people?

Does

Like attract like?

or do

Opposites attract?

Actually, both!

Like-minded thinking is what keeps the train from derailing.
But opposite temperament is what propels the train forward.

To keep a relationship on track it helps to have:
Shared values,
Shared beliefs about what planet we’re on and how it works
Shared dreams or goals
Shared ideas about child rearing
Mutual respect…..

Without this common ground it’s virtually impossible to make a relationship work, irrespective of how big the spark was in the beginning.

But when it comes to temperament, there’s a different force that binds us. Here opposites really do attract. There is a strong yin-yang push-pull force propelling, attracting, bonding us and keeping the energy dynamic and flowing.

Ever see couples sitting in a restaurant with virtually nothing to say to each other? It’s as if there is no dynamic, the energy just doesn’t flow.
This could be because they’re just too similar, or totally incompatible.

The danger here is that one person may try to adjust him or herself to fit the other person’s needs. As I mentioned before, to be a happy healthy you, you need to live your type.

Are you living your type?

What heart line type are you? There are 4 basic types.

Earth heart line types need freedom and hate clinginess
They show their affections through actions rather than words.
Their relationship style is reserved, ‘Not now, I’m busy.’

Water types need connection. They are sensitive and caring
They are sometimes too giving and flexible and seek to be contained.
Their relationship style is nurturing.

Water and Earth types compliment each other perfectly.

Fire types are vivacious and like to be the centre of attention. They need passion and hate boredom. They are challenged to focus and may over display inappropriately.
Relationship style: let me tell you what I want.

Air types are romantic idealists. They are thoughtful, considerate, and rational and hate conflict. Their relationship style is analysis paralysis; to think about feelings rather than express them in the moment.

Fire and air types compliment each other perfectly.

To figure out your heart line type, go here

Once you’ve figured out what type you are, here’s a simple exercise to help you get more in touch with whether your needs are being met.

Write down 8 needs you have right now. Then draw a cup alongside each need and indicate how full this cup is at the moment.

Get your partner to do the same and share your cup drawings with each other.

Now write 8 things you really like about your partner and share these too.
Appreciation is often the thing we need most. It costs nothing to give, but it enriches both sides once given.

Wishing you a week full of love and appreciation,
Thanks for staying with me right to the end!

Are you a turtle or a hedgehog?

I never used to have a bubble or doubling on my heartline!
This is something I have watched grow into my hands with a
mixture of both horror and fascination over the last 2
years. Doubling and dangling x's!!!
Did I say dangling x's?! I don't want dangling x's on my
hand! Help!!! Rub them out quick!

What am I talking about?
Take a look at your heartline. That's one of the 3 main
lines on your hand. The one that runs closest to your
fingers.

Doubling means instead of one smooth line it's double in
places.

The most common place to get doubling on a heartline is
under the pinkie (Mercury) or under the ring finger
(Apollo) or both. The point on your heartline directly between
these two fingers is called the 'point of intimacy'. That's the place
where you get a bubble on your heartline if you were ever badly
hurt by a lover/partner/spouse.

If you've got doubling on your heartline that means you've
built a protective shield around your heart to stop
yourself getting hurt in the future.

There's a good news and a bad news side to this little
scenario.

The good news side? You won't easily get hurt.

The bad news side? Well, have you ever tried to hug a
turtle? It's not much fun, is it?

Some people are even harder to get close to than turtles.
They're all prickly. Now, who's going to be dumb enough to
willingly hug a hedgehog?

If you've been hurt over and over in relationships, it's
difficult to 'open up' and be vulnerable. But look at it
from the other side of your towering walls.

It takes a real hero/ Prince Charming to hack their way in.
It's hard work and
not much fun. Especially if all those spiked brambles keep
growing back!

When you have doubling on your heartline, this is caused by
conflict between your heart and your brain. It indicates a
fear of vulnerability.

The mind says, 'I don't want to risk getting hurt. My life
is as good as it is. It's safer and more manageable to be
alone.'

But the heart would never say that. It only wants to love
and be loved. Deep down we all seek intimate connection
with another human being.

Doubling on the heartline has the effect of turning down
the volume on your heart so that you can't hear it's
longing.

If you've been living this way for a while, you can
recognise the feelings you want to have, but you can't
engage because you're so used to keeping the heart's
volume as low as possible.

In extreme cases, you feel a 'disconnect' between the
feelings you think you should be having and actually
feeling them.

Sometimes we are so starved of turning the heart volume up
that we look for someone else to create it for us. You want
the other person to be more open, more interested, more engaged
because you don't want to be.

This causes the other person to back off thinking, 'Why do
they want so much from me??'

Vulnerability is what allows healing to begin.
Vulnerability is not a sign of weakness. It's intoxicating.
And it's the key to connectedness.

And what about dangling x's? That will have to be next
week's topic!
